Role Description
This is an on-site role located in Halifax, MA, combining the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Adult Companion (AC). This position offers a consistent schedule with opportunities for both Full-Time and Part-Time employment. We are currently hiring for evening and weekend shifts, with schedules available 7 days a week. Available shift options include 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with the opportunity for additional hours based on program needs. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals in both home and community settings, assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, and encouraging meaningful community engagement.

Responsibilities
* Provide personalized, one-on-one support in home and community settings.
* Assist individuals with daily living activities, including errands, appointments, and community outings.
* Provide reliable transportation to support access to services, social activities, and essential appointments.
* Support individuals in building life skills, confidence, and independence.
* Assist with budgeting, household management, and accessing community resources such as housing and government assistance programs.
* Encourage participation in social and recreational activities to promote community integration and connection.
* Offer compassionate companionship, active listening, and emotional support.
* Collaborate with individuals to implement personalized support strategies aligned with their goals and interests.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily progress notes.

Qualifications
*A Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) WITH at least 2 years of relevant community-based experience.
*Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle that is suitable for transporting individuals.
*Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities.
*Must be willing to undergo a background check, provide a driving record, complete a health screening, and submit any required onboarding documentation.
*CPR/First Aid certification is required but may be acquired during onboarding process.
*Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including frequent hands-on support, assisting with mobility, and providing emergency physical assistance when needed.
